The Villaviciosa Estuary is a perfect territory for birds to shelter in. The wintering species find there a quiet place to go through the toughest Winter months and go back to their native quarters, to breed. Besides, other migratory species have a rest on these lands on their way to further and warmer resorts.

In addition to the regular wintering bird species, with bad weather conditions on the sea we may find pelagic species. So that, on these worse winter days it’s easier to find a higher number of different species inland which, in other circumstances, would be more difficult to spot.

How do we carry out the journey?

In order to enjoy with all these bird species, we visit different locations alogn the estuary and we go for short walks close to the tidal areas. We spend some time in an observatory as well, from which we might observe aquatic species, small birds and some raptors through our binocular and telescopes.

We are available any day in winter. Come with your kids, your partner or with your friends.

If you don’t know much about birds, we show you how to learn about them. However, if you are alredy keen on birds, here you have the opportunity to enjoy a great day of bird watching.

We provide you with binocular, terrestrial telescope and bird guides.

We’ll be at the best observation points.

As there are covered observatories, the activity can also be carried out on days with some rain.
